Lewis was born and diagnosed a few days later as a “swimmer”. With lots of care and correct physio he survived to become one of our top show dogs. From his first year in the puppy class to his first year in the veteran class he qualified each year for Western Cape Top Dog. He championed early in his career and went on to win more than one Best in Show, many Group Wins and Group Placements and the World of Dogs and Cats. He was Merle’s ‘heart dog’, the one that slipped away suddenly but remains forever in our hearts.
